Arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. This book nicely coordinates with the C and Bb books (for example, "D Natural Blues" is on p. 95 of the C, Bb and Eb books. So you can just call out the page number if you want to.
Like most of the songs and there are many of them. I doubt if anybody would like every song.
I love this book it's my jazz bible. I originally bought it for college auditions, but fell in love with it the moment I saw the Actual book, It's so thick And full of music. If you love jazz this is a must buy!
It's impossible to read on the main image, but if you click to expand it you can see "European Edition" written in the top corner. I ordered this RealBook without seeing that -- much less knowing what it means, since the item description includes no mention of a rather important fact:The European Edition is substantially different than the edition sold in the U.S. If you're hoping for basic standards like "Just Friends" or "Donna Lee," they're not in here. The first page actually has a big legal notice saying this book is not authorized for sale in the U.S. and Canada.The U.S. edition is available elsewhere on Amazon (and it also costs less).
good reading
I had previously bought the Bb book, which is also legal, and wanted to get this one to complement the first and I'm glad I did. My edition if half the size of the Bb book, but the print is still easy to read. A+
Good selections, easy to navigate, dislike some of the chord changes are not what should be.
This is a fun helpful book. I like that they show the chords. Some of these songs would sound better in a different key. Also the choice of notes might be better if they used a different note from the chord for the melody than the one they used - just my opinion. :-).
